Able Living improves the way individuals with disabilities live by creating innovative, architecturally designed SDA Accommodation in sought after locations from Wanneroo to Mandurah. Established in Western Australia by Perth businessman Alf Pelliccione, Able Living is a Perth-based SDA provider under the NDIS scheme.
Able Living Accommodation is designed to AS 1428 (The Australian Standard for Disability Access) and the SDA design requirements published as part of the NDIS scheme. They are certified for both ‘Fully Accessible’ or ‘High Physical Support’. Able Living will introduce more homes in new locations holding alternate SDA categories in the future. Managing Director Mr Alf Pelliccione established Able Living in 2020 after a career as Managing Director of AMPAC Technologies Ltd (1980 – 2019), Australia’s largest fire detection and evacuation systems supplier. During this time, his primary focus was providing quality products to protect life and property.
Mr Pelliccione also served on Australian Standards Committees for the better part of 25 years. The committees drafted numerous fire detection and evacuation system standards, focusing on early fire detection methods to allow occupants ample time for a safe and orderly evacuation.
This insight into the hardships individuals with disabilities faced, along with his experience in safety and protection, inspired Mr Pelliccione’s involvement in SDA. Mr Pelliccione aspires to improve participants’ quality of life by rigorously re-examining disability accommodation and providing premium living environments to enjoy for a lifetime.
