The NDIS is a national scheme now adopted across all states and territories. It supports eligible people with disabilities, giving all Australians peace of mind that if any of their loved ones are born with or acquired a significant disability, they will get the support they need.
“Within the next five years, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will provide more than $22 billion in funding a year to an estimated 500,000 Australians who have permanent and significant disability. For many people, it will be the first time they receive the disability support they need.”

The NDIS fund many types of supports, from vehicle and home modifications, help with household tasks, mobility equipment, workplace help, therapeutic supports and much more. The NDIS also provides Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding so that participants with extreme functional impairment or very high needs can live independently.
Able Living provides Specialist Disability Accommodation under the NDIS scheme. All participants must have a current NDIS plan.
